I got what I wanted—but in the most unexpected way.

After changing cars and needing to update my State Farm insurance, I reached out for a quote. Given that my new vehicle is considerably more expensive than my previous one, I anticipated a result that would give me pause—and understandably so.

What I did not expect, however, was the depth of detail and the level of education I received regarding how my new rate was determined.

When gas prices rise by just a few cents, it makes national headlines and sparks widespread reaction. Yet insurance rates—arguably just as impactful—are shaped by a far more complex set of variables that rarely receive the same level of attention or understanding.

As a lifelong State Farm customer, with no accidents or violations, along with bundled homeowner’s insurance and participation in Drive Safe & Save, my six-month premium turned out to be remarkably favorable. Even the vehicle sales representative noted how impressive the rate was. Still, what proved most valuable was not simply the outcome, but the insight into why the rate was what it was.

For that, I give full credit to Edwin Mata’s employee, Ana Fernandez. Ana's ability to clearly explain the many factors involved, while patiently addressing every question I had, was exceptional. “Patience” hardly captures it—she demonstrated a level of attentiveness and professionalism that is increasingly rare.

Beyond the technical explanation, her encouragement to continue maintaining a strong record—and her acknowledgment of the effort it takes to do so—added a meaningful personal touch. It truly put the finishing touch on an already outstanding experience.

Additionally, there are numerous factors that influence what one ultimately pays for insurance—many of which deserve thoughtful consideration. But more than anything, working with Ana was an experience I genuinely appreciated, and one that stands out for all the right reasons.

Anna deserves the biggest shout-out, reason why I hope to blast the airwaves so that everyone knows that Ana Fernandez- SHE IS THE BEST…….. Thank you, thank you, thank you so much for being so helpful, informative, and just simply being so nice- Every good wish✰
